AM5708: QSPI Flash Requirements

I see from the AM5718 EVM that a Cypress S25FL128S SPI flash part is used.  I would like to know if the Cypress S25FL128S part can also be used?  From what I can tell from the TRM, the QUADSPI requirements are fairly generic.  Is there specific support for the S25FL-L series in the SDK or is this specific to the boot loader in the AM5708?

The differences I see are

  • S25FL-S supports 512B/256B Program Buffer size.  The S25FL-L only supports 256B
  • S25FL-S supports 64K/256K Erase Sector size.  The S25FL-L supports 4K/32K/64K
  • S25FL-S supports 4K parameter sector size.  The S25FL-L does not support this
  • S25FL-S supports 3 / 4 Byte + Bank addressing.  The S25FL-L only supports 3 / 4 byte
