Linux/AM3358: Beagle Bone Black Uart enabling

Hi All,

We are using AM3358 Rev C Beagle Bone Black, i have enabled all UARTs in dts file (am335x-boneblack.dts, am33xx.dtsi and am335x-bone-common.dtsi) but not able to see the /dev/ttyO*.

Can you please anyone suggest us how to configure UART in dts file without using Overlays.

Hello Raghavendra,

Depending on the driver configuration you use, you will not see the /dev/ttyO* Please, try /dev/ttyS* instead.

Hi Kemal,

After getting "/dev/ttyS*" UART is not working and im unable to access the serial.

Is there any changes in driver and dts configurations for getting "/dev/ttyO*", Please let me know if any changes.
