CCS/TMS320C5517: has anyone use the CSL 3.0X without DSB/Bios

Part Number: TMS320C5517
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CODECOMPOSER

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

First on "import Project" we get an "RTSC_Symbol" and not an "CCS" Symbol on the Project in the Project Explorer.

How to change them and  what does it depend on? (any files in the project...)

After move only sources files, we get a lot of errors depending on BIOS.

Why is there no version without bios? The good 55 programmers are long gone from TI.

It is enough for us to find the errors from the CSL.

...Our "BIOS" has long been much faster and better to debug ..:)

  • Lars,
I'm trying to understand your question.
Which version of CSL are you using? Is it v3.07?

If you are referring to the CSL examples, they are CCS based projects and not all of them use BIOS.

CSL 3.07 is not a library but a collection of demos for any special evaluation boards. With Codecomposer 7, the whole or even the library can't be opened. There is only a error message. The errors, which were already in the 3.04, are now again in there, although they have been described in this forum in some part for a long time. It is not good to pack all the untested dung in a package that nobody can use without a lot of erros. It would also be good to pack a translated library into the package ... Previously that was so. It is difficult to work with it and it takes a long time to separate the wheat from the chaff.
    CCS7 - CSL 3.07 - not a good idea?
