Hello,

I want ip packets to be sent between the two interfaces on the evm board.

For example, set eth0 to 192.168.1.2 and eth1 to 192.168.2.2. Each interface is connected to a host.

Assign the IP address of 192.168.1.3 to the host connected to eth0, and the IP of 192.168.2.3 to the host connected to eth1.

At this time, how do I configure the host connected to eth0 to ping the host connected to eth1?

Hi,

Have you tried changing the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 in both host PCs. How are the Host PCs connected to each other ? I am not sure if it will work in a LAN, with routers in place.

Thank for your replay.

Current status is following.

1. change netmask : 255.255.255.0 -> 255.255.0.0

2. set ipv4 forward : /etc/sysctl.conf - net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1

3. ping 192.168.1.3 -> 192.168.1.2 = OK.

3. ping 192.168.1.3 -> 192.168.2.2 = OK.

4. ping 192.168.1.3 -> 192.168.2.3 = failed.

5. ping 192.168.2.3 -> 192.168.2.2 = OK.

6. ping 192.168.2.3 -> 192.168.1.2 = failed.

Hi,

Please change the net mask in all the devices(Board for 2 eth interface) and also in both Host PCs.

I changed the netmask of all interfaces.

However, the results are the same.

Hi,

May I know the purpose of such a connection ?
Can you try couple of things
1. Try with 255.255.252.0 subnet mask
2. If the Board can act like a route, trying adding routing table in the Board.

Hi,

The system we create is only one external interface.

I would like to use Hawking's internal switch function to connect with other hosts in the system.

In other words, I do not want to connect additional switches between hawking and other hosts.

The other host is epc pc and the external host is the debugging pc.

Could you tell me about routing table settings?

Hi,
In 192.168.1.3 host, can you set
route add -net 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.2.2

In 192.168.2.3 host, can you set
route add -net 192.168.2.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.1.2

with IP forwarding enabled in the TCI6638K2K
