What is the best 802.11n interface with DM36x? SDIO or USB?
Can TI engineers provide successful 802.11n chip vendors that have done the integration work with DM36x platforms like EVM or IPNC.
Thanks.
Bo

Bo,
We have seen some customers in the past use modules from vendors such as Jorgin, CardAccess, Murata, and LSR. From doing a quick check on the web, CardAccess has CA-SD16G model with drivers for the DM36x EVM, but does not support 'n' standard. Jorgin and LSR has modules (WG7310 and TiWi, respectively) that may be other options to explore.
In terms of preferred interfaces, we have seen many customers choose SDIO given it's flexibility (portability to other platforms) and higher throughput than SPI. In addition, whereas there is only one USB port, there are actually two SDIO ports, so you can reserve the USB port for some other function. :)
I hope this helps. Feel free to share with us which wifi module you end up choosing!

Sonia
How about TI's WiLink 6.0 ?
Where is the link to find more informatin on WiLink 6.0 such as HW data sheet, reference manual ?
Thanks.
Bo
Bo,
A quick googe search came up with www.ti.com/mwlan. That should be a good place to start.
I hope this helps.

Bo,
While information on WiLink 6.0 exists (WL1271) on the page, even I could not directly find the datasheets. I believe you can get the module datasheet at http://www.lsr.com/downloads/tiwi/datasheet/TIWI_Datasheet.pdf. If you need access to the WL1271 IC datasheet, then I believe you will have to work through your local TI sales office. You can also try http://www.ti.com/connectivitywiki (click on WL1271 in the blue box under 'Platforms') for more information.
I hope this helps.

Sonia
I have been trying Wi2Wi products and they are great for this kind of applications: http://www.wi2wi.com
Not only they are working on SDIO (DM365 has two of them) but they run on Marvell's 88W8686 chip that has its driver in Linux already. They are all sold on Mouser and you can even find a testboard there in order to test your WiFi chip on the SD card port.
hi Sonia ,
here in our custom board we are using DM6443 processor and WG7310 wifi card . i pleased you to send some documents related to this and how to work with this .
present i am working with some code in the dvsdk kit (in PSP__/davincievm/examples/sd) by importing the project into code composer studio . this is also not wotking because i think this code is related to MMC(or memory) .so,if possible please send related code or documents .please help on this .i greatly thank full to you . please tell me if any mistake with me on understanding the concept.
