CCS/AM3352: Target connect error

Can you post your JTAG schematics?

Please see below for my JTAG. 

For PROC_TRSTN signal, it's connected with AM3352 directly.

For PROC_SYS_RSTN signal, it's connected with WARMRSTn pin of AM3352, meanwhle it's also pulled up to 1.8V by 10k ohm resistor, and connected with a push button, low valid.

What about the EMU0 and EMU1 signals? How are they connected?

Also, what is your VDDSHV6 voltage?

the VDDSHV6 is 1.8V.

EMUL0 and EMUL1 are not connected in my board, please refer to below for setting of XDS

Also, can you explain why you are using the ARM pinout, and not cTI-14 or cTI-20? EMU0/1 on this device need to be driven by the emulator for debugging.

Hi Biser,

As there is another ARM device in my board, so I wanted them to use the same pin definition, so I just need one 20pin ribbon cable, no converter.

I think I found the root cause for this JTAG problem, my PWRONRSTn is controlled by the another ARM device, meanwhile the SYSBOOT[15:0] signals is influenced by a third device after power-up, I add enough delay before drive PWRONRSTn high, then no RESET is needed.

I'm using an 25Mhz oscillator for my design, so I need to create a GEL file form my board, can you tell me which document has information about how to modify/create a GEL file? For now I'm confusing with MPU_PLL_Config(), CORE_PLL_Config(), DDR_PLL_Config(), PER_PLL_Config(), DISP_PLL_Config()..

Glad you found out what's happening. As for the GEL file, the AM335x GEL should recognize 25MHz oscillators if SYSBOOT[15:14] are configured properly.

Yes, CCS can read back the correct value for 25Mhz oscillator, I'm trying to config the DDR of my board, hoping I can make it work today,
