This is possible, but you need to do some math. You can refer to the GEL file: \ti_7_0_0\ccsv7\ccs_base\emulation\boards\am572x\gel\AM572x_prcm_config.gel. Function dpll_dsp_config(). When you program DSP running at a certain speed, you program pll_m, pll_n and divm2 into registers. Those registers can be read by CCS then CPU freqeuncy can be calculated.

By default, all software provided by TI configures the device to OPP_NOM which in the GEL is 600 Mhz for the DSP. There are OPP_OD and OPP_HIGH support enabled but you need to manually enable the MACRO in the GEL. In the SDK if you are using bootloader then you are also required to change the setting in board library and SBL and rebuild the two components for the change to apply.
