Hi,

I am on using the AM5718 soc, and I want to check the speed (or Clock rate )of ipu core, and how i do on linux sides ?

Can I get the clock signal out to check the signal ？

Hi Qing,

You can check if "clock framework" or Clock Tree Tool will help you regarding your request.

You can also use devmem2 tool to dump the DPLL and divider registers, thus to calculate M4 clock speed (actually CTT tool will do this for you).

I check AM571x TRM, and do not see option to export CORE_IPU_ISS_BOOST_CLK (or DPLL_ABE_X2_CLK) on the device clkout0/1/2 pins, thus this clock can not be measured by Oscilloscope.

The default and max value of IPUx_GFCLK is 425.6MHz, this clock supply IPUx Unicache, MMU, L2. Then this clock goes to hardware /2 divider, and supply (212.8MHz) M4 processors, RAM, ROM, L2 MMU.
