Hi,

I have a Beagle Bone Black board. (Rev C)

Is it possible to change pin mux mode at linux command line level?

For instance, change pin 11 (T17 - name UART_RXD) from gpmc_wait0 (MODE0) to mii2_crs(MODE1)?

Device tree overlays is a better approach?

Changing pinmux at runtime is not recommended.
