RTOS/SYSBIOS: SYSLINK support

Part Number: SYSBIOS
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP3530

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi,

Am currently using C66x Device(Keystone 1). Want to trigger a Interrupt from DSP(sysbios-6.35.4.50) to ARM(Arago 2013.04) .  Looking into SYSLINK module to implement the same using notify .

Is SYSLINK is supported by C66x device ? In the product makefile i could see only " List of supported devices (choose one): OMAP3530, OMAPL1XX, TI816X, TI814X , TI813X, TI811X" .

regards ,

VInodh

  • I've moved this thread to the device forum. They can better answer your question.

  • Vinodh,

In your Tags, you included OMAP3530, but it does not include a C66x DSP core nor is it a Keystone 1 device. And you are wanting to communicate from DSP to ARM.

    Which device are you using?

Keystone 1 was originally supported by MCSDK 2.x, and is now supported by the Processor SDK. These both use IPC for interprocessor communications.

  • Hi,

Keystone I has C66x core only, there is no ARM core. What is the device you are trying to use?

    Regards, Eric
  • Hi,

"Keystone I has C66x core only" ====>Sorry my mistake, are you using TCI6614 Appleton?

    Regards, Eric
  • Hi ,

Sorry about the confusion - OMAP3530 was automatically tagged from the text mentioned.

Yes, am using TCI6614 Appleton - which is a keystone1 device.

Am tying to build a interrupt routine between DSP(sysbios-6.35.4.50) to ARM(Arago 2013.04) for core synchronization. Few literature online stated that syslink can be used to implement a interrupt using the notify mechanism .

But in the syslink product makefile i could see only " List of supported devices (choose one): OMAP3530, OMAPL1XX, TI816X, TI814X , TI813X, TI811X"  No c66x series is mentioned.

Is there any work around or direct solution available to do the task mentioned above.

    Thanking you ,

    regards ,

    Vinodh

  • Vinodh,

The TCI6614 is only sold and supported to a limited market for specific product applications. It is supported through our Third Party Network for customers who are in that market.

There was a special release of the MCSDK for the TCI6614. It is only available through those support channels, so please contact your sales professional or a 3P with whom you are working. This device is not generally supported on this open E2E forum.

The TCI6614 is not supported by standard releases of SYS/BIOS or DSP/BIOS or MCSDK. We apologize for that confusion.

  • Hi Randy,

    Thankyou for your response.

Iam not getting any response from my FAE. Thought ARM-DSP interrupt mechanism is general topic for all SoC having ARM and DSp core in it.

If we are using IPCGRH interrupt how to map it to Chip Interrupt Controller event to reach the ARM kernel space ?

    Thanks,

    regards,

    Vinodh

  • Vinodh,

Are you using the EVM for the TCI6614 or your own custom board?

Do you have the software and documentation provided by TI for customers through our TCIxxxx business team?

Please return to your FAE or TI sales team, or Third Party Partner, for TCI6614 support.

The TCI6614 is not a general topic, unfortunately. For other TI devices, the standard support is through the Processor SDK.

    Regards,
    RandyP
  • Hi Randy ,

Am using  TI6614 EVM . There was no specific document provided to us from  TI FAE. All the documents we got is downloaded from  TI6614 Wiki: .

Thanks for the support . We will approach our FAE.

    regards,

    Vinodh
