Linux/AM4376: Custom Designed Board Firmware Development

Part Number: AM4376

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

I have designed a custom board with AM4376 processor and peripherals interfaced over I2C, UART, USB. I have few queries regarding the software development of this card.

1. I need to develop its firmware on my linux OS system using CCSv6.0. What set-up I should do in my system or Software tool(CCSv6.0) before starting firmware development..??

2. Is the basic OS, bare minimum drivers available on the AM4376 IC..??

3. When I will power on the board for the first time, Terminal/GUI/BIOS settings/configuration will be available even before I dump my code in its memory card..?? (as in the Starter Kits or boards)

4. Any guidelines for the beginner in processor programmer..??

Please let me know if anyone can help with these. Suggestions or brief explanations will help my development speed up.

Thanks & Regards,

Dhara
