Hi,

I'm working with DM6437, my project deals with video capturing.

In fact, I haven't big ideas in this domain, by reading the code I understand that the format of video captured by VPFE is PAL. But I have to work with CIF format.

Can any show me, how can I make this?

Hi,

What sample code are you referring to? Are you doing your project on an EVM?

I suggest you to start reading the VPFE user guide http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/spru977c and focus on the CCDC setup. There are around 5-10 registers you need to modify.

Moreover, Is this analog input or digital input? If you are using EVM, you might also need to learn how to configure the onboard TVP5146 (ADC) if you are getting analog input.

Hi,

I'm working with EVM DM6437, in fact I'm using the projct "video preview" located in dvsdk.

Normally the defaut configuration is PAL, but I want to use the CIF format, so what I shoud done to make this configuration. Also I want to know is the difference between PAL format and CIF format only on the number of pixels?

I am assuming you've read my previous email...

I am not sure what kind of comparison you are looking for between PAL and CIF. I am not too familiar with the CIF standard origin. Try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Intermediate_Format?

On the EVM, you will need to program TVP5146 to output CIF if it can.
