AM5728: EtherCAT monitoring with Wireshark

I wonder if somebody can advise on technic and/or equipment (Ethernet switch, in particular) to use with Wireshark for EtherCAT sniffing.

Hi, for connecting a PC in the EtherCAT bus, I use Beckhoff ET2000 Industrial Ethernet Multichannel Probe.

Paula, from what I see, the Beckhoff ET2000 is about $4k. Can you shed some light on how it was chosen? Why not the less expensive alternatives? For instance, netgear gs105ev2, Dualcomm DCGS-2005L 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Network TAP, or SharkTap Gigabit Network Sniffer.

Mark, it was chosen by me due to good references from other colleagues. I haven't tried other alternatives to be honest. Please let me know which one you pick and how it works for you as a future reference.
