I just purchased C6748 LCDK and was hoping to run on-board demo as fasts as it shows on TI video, i have installed CCS, several libraries, UART controller and Tera Term. After following step by step quick starter guid, i'm unable to see comand prompt on Tera Term window.

Am i missing something? do i have to connect jtag emulator? does the micro sd card needs to be inside the LCDK? Please, i'm in a hurry to deliver something in school and at least i have to run demos on board.

Typically, C6748 LCDK boards are flashed with out of box demos on the NAND flash. you can get that demo working using the steps here:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../C6748_Development_Kit_(LCDK)

Note: you need to configure the switch to NAND boot

If the board manufacturer didn`t flash the demo then you may not see the demo come up. Also, note the the host serial connection baudrate should vbe set to 115.2 Kbps

Thank you Rahul; i've followed instructions of that page, switch is n NAND boot, and baud connection is at 115.2 kbps, but nothing shows up.

Is there any way to verify if my LCDK board is working? Upon powering it up, power led blinks red and then green, and leds d4-d7 are turned on.

The demo that comes as part of the LCDK was created for C6SDK and the instructions to flash and boot using these binaries is described here:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../BIOS_C6SDK_2.0_User_Guide

Make sure you erase the NAND flash before you reflash.

Another option would be to connect an emaulator and loading and running out files:

Thanks, i' m trying to flash the demo using CMD but, upon opening AIS dir and trying to reach board, i'm having no response of lcdk after giving this commad:

sfh_OMAP-L138.exe <-flash_noubl> [-targetType <C6748_LCDK>] [-flashType <NAND>] [-p <COM4>] [<C:\facedetect_lcdk.bin>]

could this be a signal that my board is having a malfunnction?

Have you set the LCDK in UART boot mode using the boot switch settings provided here:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../C6748_Development_Kit_(LCDK)

Without the serial flashing tool. Connect a serial terminal to the UART at 115.2 kbps and configure it in UART boot mode. When the board is power on, you will see SOC ping "BOOTME" on the host serial terminal.

Another common error is that make sure you are connected to USB2UART port and not the USB1.1 port on the LCDK.
