Linux/TMS320DM8148: Use 2GB DDR on only one DDR controller

Hi all,

I want to use 2GB DDR on only one DDR controller (EMIF0) and disable EMIF1. If I modify DMM_LISA_MAP as below, that should be workable or not.

OC,

You can not use 2GByte on EMIF0, the max is 1GByte per EMIF. Could you please provide me which external DDR3 chip exactly you are using and how many you attach to EMIF0?

Note that EMIF0 has no A15 address (no DDR0_A[15] pin).

Thanks for your confirmation.
Based on EMIF capability, I would like to connect two 256MX16 (4Gb) per EMIF.

Yes, this is supported. You will have 1GByte on EMIF0 and 1GByte on EMIF1, thus 2GByte in total.

You need to adjust DMM_LISA_MAP registers for this setup.
