Hi all,

I want to know how to start AM437x without setting the PB to low.

Please tell me if there is a circuit diagram to realize this.

Also, I found a description that passes OFF state if PWR_EN is set to High in TPS65218 DS.

When I turn on the power to TPS65218, should I design this pin to be always High?

Is there any problem with this design?

Hi,

You are correct that driving PWR_EN will start the PMIC. However you must also think how to turn the PMIC off. This should be done by driving PWR_EN low, so that the power-down sequence will be followed correctly. In summary you should design a circuit that drives PWR_EN high when power is applied, and drives PWR_EN low when the AM437x signal RTC_PMIC_EN transitions from high to low. I am not aware of such an example however.
