Hi Brian,

Please refer Table 4-2. XIP (on GPMC) Boot Options.

With boot mode [10] =1 (option B) GPMC clock is not configured !

Hello Ravikiran,

Forgive me I poorly worded the question. What is the scenario I would need to use Option A over Option B?

Does it matter that I am using NAND flash and not Nor flash?

Brian,

If using NAND flash, you do not need GPMC_CLK.

Option A or B should be used for XIP/NOR flash.

If using XIP/NOR, Option A or B should be used depending on your HW design regarding pins connection between DM38x GPMC module and XIP (NOR) Flash. See DM38x TRM, section 4.7.2.2 Pins Used for NOR Boot

NOR flash can work in synchronous mode (GPMC_CLK is available, option A) and in asynchronous mode (GPMC_CLK is not available, option B).
