AM3352: GPMC burst write CSWROFFTIME

Hi,

I have provided a Documentation Feedback already but wanted to
make sure if our understanding is correct.

In case of Burst Read,
the TRM "Figure 7-19. Synchronous Multiple (Burst) Read"
mentions that the CSRdOffTime (Read) doesn't include PageBurstAccessTime.
CSRDOFFTIME = CSRDOFFTIME0 + CSRDOFFTIME1




Whereas in case of Burst Write,
"Figure 7-22. Synchronous Multiple Write (Burst Write)"
mentions that the CsWrOffTime (Write) includes PageBurstAccessTime.
which makes it very become very longer compared to the CSRdOffTime(Read).





We believe the CsWrOffTime mentioned in the illustrative Figure 7-22
is wrong and it should be shorter similar to the CSRdOffTime (Read) without PageBurstAccessTime?

    this question is bit different about error in the TRM Figure.

  • Kummi, do you have any evidence that the diagram is incorrect? I think you may have a good point, because the control signals get extended during burst accesses, so the CSWROFFTIME should be calculated in a similar manner as CSRDOFFTIME, as you point out.

    Unfortunately, I do not have time to check this out on a board in the near term. Did your customer observe this on a board? Or is it just a guess based on how the read CS time is calculated?

    Thank you very much.

    Actually we don't have the evidence as such,
    the customer is currently designing their board.

    This assumption is based on the CS Read time.
    And the definitions or the equations in the manual are same for both
    CS Read time as well as write time.
    So we assume this Figure 7-22 is incorrect.
