Linux/AM4378: Input Japanese characters

Hi,

My customer is trying to input Japanese characters using USB keyboard, but so far no good.

environment:
Device AM4378
Processor SDK Linux 2.00.00

According to him, input method used is uim_-_8_5-r0_0.
Does it support Japanese ?

I understood "uim" supports Japanese characters from the above link you pointed out

So, I would like to get the source code of " uim ". Where can I get its code?

Thank you for your cooperation.

I think customer need to install "uim" for using Japanese characters. And "uim" package is not installed in default of Processor SDK.
Is my understanding right?
And I fournd "uim" install site as the below.

Does this information help for processor SDK?

Hello Michi-san,

The link you have posted for the UIM seems applicable on a Desktop computer. If you try to install it on a Processor SDK, it will most probably require gtk, pango and x11 support.
