Hello all,

We have a question about SDIO CTO error. In file "TDA3x_SR2.0_SR1.0A_SR1.0_NDA_TRM_vN.pdf", this error is described as "CTO and CC are mutually exclusive.CIE, CEB, and CERR cannot occur with CTO.

CTO can occur at the same time as CCRC: It indicates a command abort due to contention on the CMD line. In this case no CC appears." We want to know the mechanism that TDA3x detect the contention on the CMD line, and the possible reasons which caused this error.

Hi Song,

I guess MMC module is monitoring the CMD value at the time it is driving it. I don't know any other way to do that. Whenever MMC detects difference between driven value and read-back value then it is a bus contention (something outside tries to drive the bus at the same time).

You can check for short circuits of CMD with an ohmmeter and if none, capture the waveform with a scope to debug.
