Linux/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM57X: SEI insertion in H.264 streams

Hi,

we would need to insert user_data_registered_itu_t_t35 SEI messages in the H.264 streams ( encoded using HD-VICP encoder).

From the encoder user manual (H264_Encoder_HDVICP2_UserGuide.pdf), I see this is not supported.

Given that codec does not have provision (Let me know if I am wrong on this), what would be the easiest and most optimal way of achieving this?

Hi Darshan,

If possible, let me know your use-case from Encoder & Decoder Point of view. Based on that I can help to get any alternative solution.

Since SEI is just additional encoded data which just pass some information from end to end through encoder and decoder.

This SEI data will not make any impact on quality of the video.

Let me know if you can use user_data_unregistered instead.
