DM385: Over exposure from light

Part Number: DM385

Hello All,

We are using DM385 + AR0330 custom board with ipnc 3.5 rdk.

We are reduced dgain  and exposure as much as possible. but still  Over exposure from light.

Below i have attached ref images which we captured.

How to reduce Over exposure from light ?

Regards,

RAJ M

  • Hi Raj,

    Based on the lighting condition in the scene, I feel its highly unlikely that exposure and gain are set to minimum. What are the exposure, analog and digital gain values used for capturing this image ? How are you setting these values ?

    Also if this video is captured through a windscreen of a vehicle, make sure windscreen is properly cleaned (also the lens of camera) to reduce the "haze" or "halo" around light sources.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi  Nithin Varghese,

    What are the exposure, analog and digital gain values used for capturing this image ? How are you setting these values ?

    Analog gain in sensor reg  = 0x00
    digital gain in sensor reg  = 0x90

    We are enabled the AEWB. so exposure value dynamically updated(TI2A).

    gTi2aControlParams.aGainMin            = 1024;
    gTi2aControlParams.aGainMax            = 1024;
    gTi2aControlParams.stepSize            = 50;
    gTi2aControlParams.dGainMin            = 512;
    gTi2aControlParams.dGainMax            = 2048;
    gTi2aControlParams.minExposure         = 512;
    gTi2aControlParams.maxExposure         = 33333;
