Hi,

In DRA7XX SoC, Android running in MPU and a Video application running in DSP2. We need to send a heart beat signal for every 500ms from DSP2 to Android service.

Which is best IPC message for our use-case? Do IPC Notify supported in Android MPU? We are already making use of MessageQ for sending message from Android to DSP2.

Hi Vinoth,

Notify is not supported between HLOS and SYSBIOS, it is only for SYBIOS to SYSBIOS.

You can use MessageQ to communicate between HLOS and DSP.
The Ethernet AVB team of Harman is already using this for heartbeat mechanism between M4 and A15.

The wiki below mentions mentions that Notify is not available between HLOS and SYS/BIOS.
