Does anyone have a recommendation for a SMALL, low-power, light-weight black and white camera? I know the AM3715 has a camera input on it, which is a feature I really like, but I need a camera that will suit my needs. I don't need a large FOV (I prefer something pretty small, actually), but resolution should be pretty good. I need good low-light operation, and something with the ability to change the exposure time. Thanks.

You could contact Leopard Imaging or e-con systems who provide camera modules with smart sensors for our AM37x boards. Alternatively, if you are interested in the ISP features you could contact MMS (bind required).

Leopard Imaging has a VGA camera that might suit my needs, although it says nothing about exposure time. However, the minimum order size is 500 units. I'm still in the process of building a prototype, so I really only need one camera. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I emailed Leopard Imaging support and to a prompt response. However, the customer service dried up when I told them I would not be purchasing a custom order of 10,000 units, and that I was still in the prototyping phase and really didn't want to purchase a minimum order of 500 units. I haven't heard anything since. I will continue looking (possibly at the other two suggested companies), but if anyone else has a suggestion about meeting my imaging needs, I would appreciate it.

Or did you find another B/W only camera?

I ended up emailing E-con systems after looking at what they had to offer. Their customer service was a lot better, and they are willing to work with me to build a custom module that will suit my needs.
