After searching on ti.com, I haven't been able to locate the PINMUX file for the AM571x used with the development kit. Access to this will accelerate my new design because I'm trying to reference the development kit as much as possible.

Again, I'm looking for the PINMUX file with the configuration used in this TI design:
AM571x Industrial Development Kit (IDK)
(ACTIVE) TMDXIDK5718

Laura,

These pinmux files are being validated with the latest version of ProcSDK. Once they are integrated, they will be released as part of the ProcSDK release. At that time they will also be released on the TMDXIDK5718 web page. I have attached the working versions to this post that you can begin using. They will be removed from the post once they are formally released.

Hi Laura,

I am attaching the TMDSEVM572X pinmux file as well. These are the latest copies which have been tested and will be shipped with the next RTOS SDK release. The Linux SDK does not ship with pinmux files included.

This file doesn't want to open in Pinmux. I get this error message:

Hi - We just took delivery of a 571x IDK - How do you tell if it's version 4p vs 6p?

I see 3 stickers on the top side of the IDK.

One of which says REV 1.3B.

The 2nd sticker has an 11 digit character string ... Character # 5 and #6 in the string just happens to be '4P'.

Does this mean that our IDK is revision 4P?

The AM571x IDK EVM supports both 4-port and 6-port modes. This is controlled by jumper J51. The following text is contained in Section 6:

6 Ethernet Ports

The AM571x IDK EVM supports up to four 100Mb Industrial Ethernet ports attached to the PRU-ICSS subsystems and up to two Gigabit (1000Mb) Ethernet ports connected to the integrated Ethernet switch. The final number of available ports depends on the configuration selection:

• 4-port Ethernet mode: provides two 100Mb Industrial Ethernet ports and two Gigabit (1000Mb) Ethernet ports.

• 6-port Ethernet mode: provides four 100Mb Industrial Ethernet ports and two Gigabit (1000Mb) Ethernet ports.

Selection between these Ethernet modes is controlled by header J51. Installing a shunt on header J51 that shorts these pins together enables 4-port Ethernet mode. Removing the shunt from these pins enables 6-port Ethernet mode. The LCD output is only available when 4-port Ethernet mode is selected.

Please download the latest AM571x Industrial Development Kit (IDK) Evaluation Module (EVM) Hardware User's Guide (SPRUI97A) from the TMDXIDK5718 web page at http://www.ti.com/tool/TMDXIDK5718. The User guide was just updated last week and is available at: http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/sprui97.

Please use the PinMux Tool Cloud version or download the most recent Desktop version. PMT Wiki Link.

Jeff,

The AM571x IDK can be run in 4 port configuration with LCD, or it can be run in 6 port configuration without LCD. FYI - the 6-port capability is limited to the AM571x because this particular pin muxing is not possible on the AM572x.
