Does the AM5718 include LVDS display controller? Or Should I use an external Digital RGB to LVDS converter IC?

Hi,

No, you will need to use external LVDS converter. You can use this wiki for reference: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../LCD_connectivity It's somewhat old, but still applies.

Thanks for the reply.

I also have a requirement to convert the parallel video output from AM5718 to S-Video (Y/C) format. Is there a IC similar to LVDS converter for the S-Video conversion.

Hi,

For RGB 24 bit to LVDS LCD O/P, better use : SN75LVDS83B
For RGB 24 bit to S-Video O/P, better use : ADV7393BCPZ
