· What is the advantage in using TVP-70025I over using the TVP-7002? It seems to me that the TVP-7002 has all the features as the other device; it can handle higher data rate 165 MHz PCLK; and it cost less. Over all the TVP-7002 seems to be a better choice unless it has much more power consumption than the TVP-70025I -- which is the information I could not find in the datasheet.

The main difference I see is the thermal properties of the parts, namely the 70025I is rated for industrial temperature ranges of -40 to 85C whereas the plain 7002 is only validated between 0 to 70C. So you are correct tat the TVP7002 would be a better choice, unless you need operation in harsh thermal environments.
