Hi,

The EVM of K2H uses 100MHz as the input for DDR3A and DDR3B PLL clock input pins.

I would like to know is there any other tested/ validated clock inputs for these pins.

The hardware design guide also specifies only the clock range for these pins, and any tested values are not given.

Madhu,

As far as i know, we have used 100MHz DDR input clock on our design and validated. However couple of customers have used different clock input on their design. I would suggest, you could use the clock input within the specified range and calculate the PLL parameters accordingly.

I am planning to use 125MHz clock for DDR3 PLL.

So I would like to know whether any customer reported any issues by using frequency different than 100MHZ.

Because DDR3 is very critical in my design and it has to operate in 800MHz speed.

Madhu,

The DDR input clock of 125 MHz is accepted, but i am not sure any of the customer validated it on their design. You may need to properly chose the PLL parameters to meet the desired DDR rate.
