Hi TI expert,

Please le me confirm the following question.

[QUestion]

Would you please teach me the specification of undershoot ??

Also would you please teach me the  time limitation of overshoot and undershoot?

    Hi,

    This is described in the Data Manual, See Chapter 5, Table 5.1 Absolute Maximum Ratings Over Operating Case Temperature Range.

    Thank you for response.
    I know that data sheet provide this speculation but I could not understand the mean of description on.
    According to the data sheet , the overshoot undershoot is the Dvdd +20%. Does this mean the 3.3V + 0.66V when DVDD is 3.3V? It seems that the it is exceeded the aboslute maximum rating of device(3.6V or 3.8V). What do think? How about undershoot? I could not find the spec of this. Would you please show me the value of undershoot if the vdd is 3.3V?

    Also, would you please teach me how should we consider the time limitation? I could not understand the mean of "up to 20% of Signal Period".
    If the period was 1s, will the time limitation be 200ms?

    Correct. This is listed in the absolut maximum ratings.

    Kaka,

    The overshoot and undershoot specification are same and you could able to see it in absolute maximum ratings. Please don't confuse with the input supply maximum limit and output voltage ranges, these two limits are completely different.

    Thank you for your response. I got it for the different.
    So, you mean that the undershoot range is from -0.66V to 3.96V when DVDD is 3.3V, right? I would like to know the minimum voltage value.

    By the way, I also referred the following post.

     


    If the signal was DC signal(not period signal), what is undershoot/overshoot of the maximum limitation time? Should customer follow the value of "-0.3V to DVDD + 0.3V"?

    The overshoot and undershoot spec is 20% of DVDD for up to 20% of the cycle. This is saying that it can overshoot OR undershoot by 20% of DVDD.
