AM5728: MPEG4 1080p60 encoding

Hi,

I have search through the AM572x documentation, and could not find a definite answer as to whether AM5728 can support MPEG4 encoding at 1080p 60fps or not.

Can some one from TI give a clear indication about the AM5728 MPEG4 encoding capability or point me to any document with a clear indication?

Hi Biser,

Thanks for the reply. The thread pointed by you concluded that MPEG4 1080p60 encoding is not supported.

However I found another thread which stated that it is supported:

At this TI page, it also indicates that MPEG4 1080p60 encoding is supported on the AM5728.

Can you help to clear this contradiction? Thanks again.

the post e2e.ti.com/.../2012031 was written in October 2016 and the one that you are referencing above is from November 2016 where I stated I was updating the codecs lists. Yes, the device supports MPEG4 1080p60 encoding. I will update the original post from October 2016 to reflect the new table available.
