Linux/DM388: DM388 Audio Issue

Hi,

Enable audio from web UI and line in jack connector specification is in the schematics "CON_AUDIOJACK4_STX-3500-4N" , this should be good enough to stream audio over RTSP.

But , what you can try before that is , disable usecase that is disable service ipnc-rdk-usecase.service (/etc/systemd/system) then try arecord to capture audio then you can try the above steps to stream. make sure you set volume appropriately refer /opt/ipnc/autorun-usecase.sh for that.

          I was checked that the volume level, it is correct but I don't know how can I disable this ipnc-rdk-usecase.service file?

"systemctl disable ipnc-rdk-usecase.service"

Hi Sir,
After disabling ipnc-rdk-usecase.service file the DM388CSK program can not run properly. it just check for internet connection and created an Ethernet link and immediately it terminated.
it just gives an output nonblocking pool is initialized.

Your getting console right , you can login. There is no error that I could see in logs shared.

         In log there is no error but the actual flow of the program is terminated means the DM388CSK board does not provide the RTSP IP for Streaming the live video on WebUI.

Hi ,
Please use amixer commands for volume settings available in /opt/ipnc/autorun-usecase.sh . then use arecord to record or aplay to play the audio sample file available in /opt/ipnc/ . connect your jack appropriately to Line In or Line Out .

         I don't want to record and then play the recording, I want to at a time 2-way communication means From System to Board & from Board to system. So is it possible if yes how?

By establishing the RTSP server in PC the 2-way communication is possible, and can I developed this kind of server for mobile phone also.

Yes you can. You might need to take care of Echo. You can use Echo cancellation either in software or if available in hardware.

From the PC end, you need to stream the Audio from a MIC via RTSP stream as mentioned above.
