Errors with Rebuilding DVSDK for DM6467

Hi TI Helpdesk,

This is in reference to the DVSDK version 2.00.00.22. We have received the following from your end:

  • Montavista Pro - V 4.0.1

  • DVSDK - V 2.00.00.22
  • XDC Tools - V 3_00_06
  • Code Generation Tools - V cg6x_6_0_16

We are referring to the "DVEVM Getting Started Guide" section 4.6: Rebuilding the DVSDK Software for the Target. We followed the earlier steps from Section 4.2 given in the document. We were able to build the Montavista kernel uImage. Following section 4.6 we tried to rebuild the DVSDK software by modifying the Rules.Make file (Rules.make is attached for your reference).

We are getting the following errors while rebuilding DVSDK-

  • Please find attached Make_error1.txt which mentions the error details with respect to - implicit declaration of function `snd_pcm_hw_params_set_rate_resample' in Sound_alsa.c. We proceeded here by commenting the above function in Sound_alsa.c to check whether we are able to build the DVSDK.
  • Please find attached Make_error2.txt which mentions the error details with respect to - : "/home/Sreeni/dvsdk_2_00_00_22/xdc_3_00_06/packages/xdc/xdc.tci", line 276: exception from uncaught JavaScript throw: Error: xdc.loadPackage: can't find package 'gnu.targets.arm' along the path /home/Sreeni/dvsdk_2_00_00_22/xdc_3_00_06/packages;/home/Sreeni/dvsdk_2_00_00_22/dmai_1_20_00_06/packages;/home/Sreeni/dvsdk_2_00_00_22/xdc_3_00_06/packages;../../..;'; try redefining the package path (XDCPATH)"

    Please look into the same as we are unable to locate "gnu.target.arm" package. Kindly let us know how are we proceed from here in building the DVSDK software.
