Hello,

It is said in TI's nand wiki:

"GPMC on some devices has an erratum affecting BCH-4 calculation. A software workaround is available. This erratum affects OMAP34xx/35xx (all revisions), AM35xx 1.0, AM/DM37xx 1.0, and Netra (all revisions)"

Is it that there is no patch available for this error, or does recent u-boot/linux source provide solution for this errata for BCH-4 ?

Hi Ran,

There is no hardware patch available, the issue is still valid, see DM816x Silicon Errata:

Advisory 2.1.17 GPMC Uses Bad Generator Polynomial in t=4 BCH Mode (t is Number of Correctable Errors)
Revision(s) Affected: 2.1, 2.0, 1.1, 1.0

There is no official TI software patch (uboot/kernel) also regarding BCH4 in DM816x. See also the below e2e thread:
