AM3359: EtherCAT and Ethernet/IP pins

Hi,

When TI pinmux tool selects the following, the col, crs pin is not selected.

AM335x
MII_PRUSS1
USE Case:Real-time industrial Ethernet(full duplex)

Is it possible to use both etherCAT and ethenetIP even if the col, crs pins are not used?

Yes, Ethernet/IP supports a half duplex mode.

Thank you for quick reply.

Is it correct with the following understanding?
In order to support both EtherCAT and Ethernet IP, the pin of MII_PRUSS 1 must select all pins for peripheral.

Is there a way to use it below?
1.Only EtherCAT: full duplex use
2.Only Ethernet / IP: half duplex use
3.Both EtherCAT and Ethernet / IP: all pins use

To elaborate on David's reply: These pins are used to support half duplex operation . ETHERNET/IP and POWERLINK support a half duplex mode.
To retain compatibility TI recommends keeping these connections.

I understand that the ETHERNET / IP standard supports both full-duplex and half-duplex.
Dose ETHERNET/IP of PRU-ICSS on Am3359 support only a half duplex mode ?

Your last question doesn't make sense to me. It was already explained that ETHERNET/IP supports both full and half duplex mode.
