TDA2x: CSL semaphores and EDMA

Hi all,

We are transferring some code from TI Keystone II platform (DSP code) to the TDA2x DSP.

This code is using semaphores and EDMA from CSL library.

For TDA2x we are using CSL from package pdk_c667x_2_0_5, but it does not behave as expected.

Regarding semaphores, the code execution gets stuck at CSL_semAcquireDirect function.

Regarding EDMA, the code stops at CSL_edma3GetHwStatus function.

Do we need to do something else than just to include above mentioned package in order to use CSL?

Are there any CSL examples for TDA2x DSP?

Hi Milena,

For TDA2xx DSP you need to refer to pdk_01_07_00_16 (PDK TDA Version 01.07.00).
PDK TDA is part of Processor SDK Vision which can be downloaded from www.ti.com/.../processor-sdk-vision.
For EDMA example on TDA2xx DSP, refer to the example under folder ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_07_00_16\packages\ti\csl\example\edma\edma_polled_mode_test

Hi Rishabh,

Does pdk_01_07_00_16 have support for semaphores?
We are using function CSL_semAcquireDirect which is defined in file csl_semAux.h in pdk_c667x_2_0_5.
Is there something similar in pdk_01_07_00_16?

Regarding EDMA, in the suggested example we see functions like EDMA3Init and EDMA3GetIntrStatus (without CSL prefix) in pdk_01_07_00_16? In our current code there are similar ones CSL_edma3Init and CSL_edma3GetHwStatus. Just to confirm, are these functions without CSL prefix the right replacement, i.e. the API changed?

We don't have semaphore support in pdk_01_07_00_16.
