AM5718: Power and reset automation

Hello,

The am5718 board I have needs to be controlled remotely, using relays to trigger power and reset signals.

However, I cannot find any information to bypass the push buttons of the am5718 board.

Is there a way to auto power-on when AC is plugged?

Are there pins I can plug to, to trigger power/reset signals?

I found no documentation about the descriptions of the pins/swithes/jumpers of the am5718 board.

Your help would be helpfull.

This board has been designed for evaluation of industrial applications, however it cannot possibly cover all use cases.

Philippe,

The PMIC that is defined for use with the AM571x processors is the TPS659037x. It supports both push-button start and automatic start. Please refer to the PMIC documentation for a detailed understanding.

The AM571x IDK EVM supports both modes. You can see this on sheet 3 of the schematics. R18 is installed to enable push-button start. R18 can be removed and R931 installed to enable automatic start.

Alternately, your automation framework can contain a relay that grounds the PWRON pin of the PMIC to initiate a start event.
