OMAP L137 : Revision version

Anybody knows which revision of the RMII protocol the OMAP L137 is at? Since Revision 1.2 (dating back from 1998), CRS_DV is suppose to toggle at the end of a packet to indicate deassertion of CRS :

while looking at :

http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/omap-l137.pdf (p.107)

I'm under the impression that CRS_DV remains asserted until final data is transferred. I see no toggling taking place at the end of a packet.

However, CRS_DV is only suppose to toggle while receiving and the diagram at p. 107 appears to related to both Transmission and reception.

Thanks.

  • Louis,

The EMAC module was last updated for compliance to the 802.3 specs from 2000.  The RMII interface does look for the proper nibble boundary aligned CRS_DV toggle.

Please consider the waveform in the datasheet to be an AC characteristic reference diagram only.
