Linux/AM3358: Generating 100MHz signal with GPIO

hello,everyone:

i use the am3358 chip ,and i want to process a high frequency signal (100M).How can i kown if a gpio can generate such signal.

Hi,

Achieving 100MHz with a GPIO is absolutely impossible. At the best you can achieve 5-10MHz. You can get close to 100MHz with the PRU GPO outputs, but this will not leave bandwidth for anything else in the PRU.

You will need to write your own software for the PRU. See processors.wiki.ti.com/.../PRU-ICSS_Getting_Started_Guide
