AM3352: Thermal issue with CLKOUT1 disabled

Part Number: AM3352

Dear Champs,

Is there any relation between CLKOUT1 and the temperature of AM3352?

My customer found the junction temperature of AM3352 was increased by 5C(79C -> 84C) when they disabled CLKOUT1 by setting '0' in SYSBOOT[5] pin.

Is this reasonable situation?

Actually, my customer's system configuration was as below, and A is CLKOUT1 24Mhz, and 'DIV/2' is external device to divide CLKOUT clock.(24Mhz -> 12Mhz)

As we recommended CLKOUT1 should not be used for external device clock, they removed 'DIV/2' device and disabled CLKOUT1, but found the junction temperature of AM3352 was increased by 5C(79C -> 84C).

They want to know if this is reasonable situation or not.

Thanks and Best Regards,

SI.
