66AK2E05: Checking SGMII

Part Number: 66AK2E05

Hi,

I have 66AK2E05 K2E EVM with me and it has 2 ethernet ports on the board. I have connected ethernet cable to bottom port and connected it to network. I am seeing the port eth0 up in Linux and I can ping from K2E to any device.

I guess 66AK2E05 has 8 Port SGMII. So, how to check which SGMII is currently being used and connected to the bottom ethernet port?

How can I change the SGMII?

  • Hi Ashwini,

I've forwarded this to the hardware experts. Their feedback should be posted here.

  • Hi Ashwini,
I see that is not clear from the technical reference guide. The stacked RJ45 connector has the port associated with SGMII0 on the lower connector and the port associated with SGMII1 on the upper connector. Each of these SGMII interfaces is connected to an Ethernet PHY. The other side of the PHY is connected to the RJ45 connector. This is done at the PCB level so the ports can't be swapped with any other SGMII.
