Delay Vertical & Horizontal Output of Video Encoder of DM6446

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TVP5146

I am using the DM644x Video Encoder to generate an NTSC video stream and I have a situation where I want to delay the horizontal and vertical syncs.  I am trying to write to the HSDLY and VSDLY registers to delay the horizonal and vertical syncs, but I am seeing no difference on the scope.  Do I need to change another register to make it take effect?  Is this the best way to do this?

Thanks,
Brian

  • I forgot to mention that we are using the TVP5146 to convert an NTSC video stream to digital domain for the DM644x VPFE (similar to the DEV board) and we are using the VPBE NTSC video encoder to re-create the NTSC stream after it has been processed.  We wish to delay the output vs. the input HS and VS somewhere in that path (either in the TVP5146 chip or the DM6446) if it is possible.  Any suggestions are welcomed.
