AM5728: Instruction execution wrong

Hi,

I have one question regarding AM5728 "mov" instruction.

Please see the below.

Please pay attention Line#3.

mov r8, #0 -------- This result is wrong. r8 is not "0" . result was R8=00000200 (previous data is still aive.)

Also please pay attention Line#15.

add r1, r8, r0 -------- This result is also wrong.

This symptom is happened in only one device.  Other device can't be reproduced this issue.  This AM5728's revision is rev1.1, not rev2.0.

How do you think regarding this wrong execution? What is the cause, do you think?

    Hi,

    We cannot give an explanation unless you provide complete and detailed description on the whole setup - both hardware and software.

    Thank you for your quick reply.

    The below is other case of wrong instruction execution.

    Please compare the previous case I posted before.

    As you see, the error happens twice in same adress's instruction.

    Customer thinks this error happened by program code broken. So customer would like to estimate the possible troubles.

    The below is customer's requests.
    1. How is the possibility of this problem occurring when the program code turns into it?
    2. Where in the register, cache, internal bus, DRAM or the like a problem may have occurred.

    Thank you for your continuous cooperation.

    Regarding your request, please see the below.

    Device --- AM5728 with 1.176GHz

    OS : not Linux

    this error happens once in a day approximately.

    this program code is for customer's unique application. It is not OS.  When this error happens, application stops, but OS is still working.

    Temperature is not dependent  for this symptom.
