OMAP-L138: SPI related dought

Sir,

I'm planning to use SPI for end device configuration. As it doesnot gives me any return data can I use the SPI MISO pin as GPIO for other purpose.

In SPI peripheral :

SPI MOSI, CS and CLK pins are only required , can my MISO pin be used as GPIO.

Hi,

See the pin assignment in datasheet. For example SPI1_SOMI & SPI1_SIMO can be muxed as GPIOs.

Please refer to the TRM, the SPI inteface can be used in 3 pin mode and 4 pin mode. what you are trying to do is possible provided, your SPI slave device can work in 3 pin mode where the MISO pin can be assigned as GPIO by changing internal pinmux
