I have one question regarding the scaler of AM3517.

According to TI wik "Display subsystem" (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Display_Subsystem),

Sorry, I missed it.
My question is the below.

According to TI wik "Display subsystem" (processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Display_Subsystem), it is written in the below.

The video pipes cannot process color indexed frame buffers, but can process YUV frame buffers and additionally scale the image data between 1/4x and 4x.

So I think am3517's DSS has scaler feature(upsampling / downsampling). Does this scaler has same feature as AM5728's scaler?

If it is not same, what is the difference?

These are two very different SoC's, separated by almost 10 years in development. There is no direct comparison between them.
AM35x DSS scaler is described in section 12.4.2.3.4 of the AM35x TRM Rev. C.
AM572x DISPC scaler is described in section 11.2.4.10.4 of the AM572x TRM Rev. I.
