Hi ,

4.0 Release Notes introduction can build ipu without using CCS,and I get the answer on E2E.

What is the specific tool chain for building the project?

And your documents are built using CCS. Do you have documentation on building projects outside CCS?

How to build simple ipu and pru examples without using CCS?

Your example is by modifying the firmware in the /lib/firmware directory and then executing the program.

Do I need to modify the firmware when I communicate with the slave core?

How should I load the program into ipu or pru above?

Please refer to processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM572x. The examples are available at
~/ti/ipc_nn_nn_nn_nn/examples/DRA7xx_bios_elf/

If you are working with ARM Linux + IPU RTOS, yes, you need to copy your IPU image to the directory /lib/firmware
, see processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Linux_IPC_on_AM57xx. PRU is not supported in IPC package.
PRU firmware can be loaded from host IPU or ARM with RTOS, see processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_PRUSS.

For PRU and ARM Linux, refer to processors.wiki.ti.com/.../PRU-ICSS_Remoteproc_and_RPMsg

Hi ,

Thank you for your reply, which is very helpful to me.

I now want to use DSP or IPU read / write uart, can you use the API directly? Where are they?
Or need me to achieve these functions.

UART DSP/IPU RTOS APIs and examples are available in PDK: pdk_am57xx_1_0_6\packages\ti\drv\uart
also you can find IPC/UART example project here:
