The PHY can be programmed using the MDIO interface on DM648. Can you please provide details of what problem you are facing?

hello

here is the thing i wanna design my customized board from lyrtech schematics ... so i was wondering that my new marvell ics will work just like the one's on lyrtech board DM648 or not ? do i need to programm them or not ... or if i just load the example "helloWorld" that comes with ndk would my new marvell will show the same behaviour as the lyrtech original board marvells ?

Amna,

There is hardware settings for PHY on Lyrtech DM648 board. Please see Page 17 of the schematic (http://www.mylyrtech.com/docs/public/DM648%20EVM%20C2%20-%20Electronic%20schematics.pdf).

If the same PHY is used and the same configurations are used (as in DM648), then the PHY should work as expected.

Thanx for the apply ..

okies here the pb i took ur advice ... my system is identical ... but here is pb ...

i loaded the example hello World that comes with ndk ...

and the 100Mbps link is successfully established ... but after that i can not send or receive packets :(

i configure the code in loopback and still no luck :(

what can be wrong? my system is identical to lyrtech schematics ... what is the missing link ... kindly plz reply
