TMDSEVM572X: Thermal shutdown

Hi, I am working with AM527x EVM. Recently, I have observed that every time I power-up the evm, within a couple of minutes, the processor gets hot and thermal shutdown is triggered.

I tried loading SD card with the default evm image from link below but that also has same result. 

I also tried just powering the evm ON and halting the autoboot from u-boot, but that too makes the processor very hot. It seems like a hardware issue. Is there any way I can fix it?
