66AK2E05: 66AK2E05: Ethernet boot

Genius 9355 points
Part Number: 66AK2E05

I’ve been looking at the datasheet and ARM bootloader document for Keystone. These do not outline which SGMII port the bootloader attempts to boot on if configured for Ethernet boot.

Does the bootloader check for link on all configured interfaces?

Thanks!

  • Dipa,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this issue. For Keystone II devices the ARM bootloader user guide is a common document for K2H, K2L, K2E and K2K so the details of boot mode specific to each device has been documented in the datasheet.

Please refer to Lane setup in section 10.1.2.4 of data manual, this provides the necessary information.

Please be aware that there is a Ethernet boot errata on this device that prevents the device from directly booting over Ethernet. Refer to advisory KeyStoneII.BTS_errata_advisory.25. Only K2E and K2L are impacted by this issue not K2H and K2K

    Regards,
    Rahul

workaround for this issue is provided in the Keystone II boot examples here:
