    The maximum ECAP input resolution is defined in the AM1808 datasheet (Section 6.28).

    Hi Christina:

    In the AM1808 datasheet (SPRS653A) section 6.28, and the  (SPRUFU6)AM17x/AM18x ARM Microprocessor
    Enhanced Capture (eCAP) ModuleUser's Guide, I can't see the support input resolution.

    Have any updata document?

    Sorry, I believe I misunderstood your question.  I thought you were asking about the input max frequency, not captured frequency resolution.

    The maximum resolution will be dependent on your eCAP operating frequency.  For instance, if eCAP was operating at 150Mhz, one increment in the eCAP counter will be equal to 6.67ns, which is the period of 150Mhz.  The faster the eCAP operating frequency, the better the resolution. 

    However, you need to take into account your input frequency.  If your input frequency is really slow, the eCAP counter might overflow before the input frequency toggles.
