TMS320C6748: Issues with USB serial port connection from PC to C6748 LCDK

I have received new C6748 LCDK kit. I followed the instructions as in the Quick Start Guide. The serial port driver is installed (COM5) on Windows 7 PC; I have also set up Terraterm to the correct baud rate of 115200 and 8,N,1 None serial settings. The same matching settings are done for COM5 port on PC.

Also, the DIP settings are correct, 2,3,4 are ON, rest are OFF. However, I do not see any response (no characters) on the terraterm console. I have tried power cycle and Reset on the board, but nothing works.

Please advise what is wrong with the C6748 LCDK kit?

Please refer to the note that we recently added due to a quality issue with the board manufacturer where they have reported some issues with flashing of the NAND in their assembly. We have provided steps to reflash the board :

Another way to check the boards are Ok is to configure UART boot and check to see if BOOTME shows up on the serial port when the board is powered up. To chnage the boot switch SW1 to UART boot refer:

Thanks Rahul for the response. I have the connectivity established to LCDK now and I can see messages from the Facedetect demo.
